Changsha, the capital city of Hunan province in Central China, became the host for this year’s industrial conference for spuring the development of self-driving vehiles in low-speed scenarios. The city is stepping up its game in low-speed automated driving.
The 2-day event saw a couple of agreements signed between Changsha government and several leading enterprises in the field. Chairpersons and presidents from five relevant authorities and organizations signed on the Changsha CAVs Industrial Clustering Initiative, which aims to promote collaboration of entities both inside the industry and from closely-related sectors. An estimated total of 800 professionals in the field, spanning renowned experts, researchers, top managements of both large corportations and SMEs, and talented technocrats, attended the meeting.
CMRA President LI Jinke addressed at the opening of the conference. According to Li, low-speed autonomous driving is at a critical stage of going commercial and global at a wide scale. Market players should aim at long term and dail up efforts in innovation, quality and brand building. CMRA will continue to leverage on the synergy of the alliance and strive for creating an all-win ecosystem in and out of the indusry.
