Recently, the SME Information Network announced the list of the sixth batch of specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative “little giant” enterprises and the third batch of re-evaluated enterprises. According to statistics, 3,012 new specialized “little giant” enterprises were selected this time. By the end of June 2024, China has cultivated over 140,000 specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative SMEs, including 12,000 “little giant” enterprises.
“Little Giant” enterprises refer to the leading SMEs in niche markets that exhibit specialization, refinement, distinctiveness, and innovation. The assessment criteria for the “little giant” honor cover multiple dimensions, including economic efficiency, degree of specialization, innovation capability, and management practices. This year, the threshold for becoming a specialized “little giant” is notably high, with expert review standards requiring 24 invention patents and R&D investments exceeding 40 million yuan. Out of 15,000 enterprises that applied nationwide, only a 20% acceptance rate was achieved.
According to incomplete statistics from the New Strategic Mobile Robotics Industry Research Institute, 28 companies in the mobile robotics industry chain were newly recognized as specialized “little giants” in the sixth batch of listings.
The mobile robotics companies mentioned above are not only leaders in quality and efficiency among SMEs but also serve as a backbone for high-quality development in the mobile robotics industry. They possess key core technologies and focus on their respective niche markets, continuously driving market share growth through technological innovation, thus contributing to the development of the mobile robotics sector. With the advancement of the Industry 4.0 revolution, it is believed that mobile robots will play an increasingly important role in more niche areas, advancing the development of new productive forces to a higher level.
