On May 9th, at the “13th Manufacturing Logistics and Warehousing Intelligence Engineering Conference and the 2nd Global Forklift Mobile Robot Summit,” the “Blue Book on the Development of Forklift Mobile Robots (AGV/AMR) Industry (2024 Edition)” was officially released. The Blue Book was jointly compiled by 22 leading unmanned forklift enterprises, including Hangcha Intelligent, Future Robot, Linde, SIASUN, Zhejiang Zhongli, Hikvision Robot, Sany Robot, Jikeke, Leishen Intelligent, Meiru Robot, Meir Microvision, UQI Youqi, Dolphin Star, Easy Robot, Huare Tech, Shanghai Noblelift Intelligent, Jintian International, Lingding Intelligent, Kunhou Intelligent, Ha Gongkuxun, Aimairui Intelligent, and Pengkun Zhike. The Mobile Robot (AGV/AMR) Industry Alliance led this effort.
The “Blue Book on the Development of Forklift Mobile Robots (AGV/AMR) Industry (2024 Edition)” is the latest research result from the New Strategy Mobile Robot Industry Research Institute, based on statistics from the CMR Industry Alliance. The Blue Book surveyed and analyzed business data from over 80 domestic and international forklift mobile robot manufacturers in 2023 and nearly 100 supply chain companies. It also provided a comprehensive analysis of the application status of mobile robots among top users in various industries.
According to data from the CMR Industry Alliance and statistics from the New Strategy Mobile Robot Industry Research Institute, the sales of forklift mobile robots in China reached 19,500 units in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 46.62%, and the market size was approximately 4.29 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.70%.
Forklift mobile robots have experienced rapid growth in recent years, but their penetration rate is still low compared to traditional forklifts. According to data from the CMR Industry Alliance and statistics from the New Strategy Mobile Robot Industry Research Institute, the market penetration rate of forklift mobile robots in China was only 1.66% in 2023, indicating significant potential for application substitution.
